The ‘Forging ahead’ project at Black Country Living Museum is a truly authentic 1940s-1960s development.

The ‘Forging ahead’ project at Black Country Living Museum (BCLM) is a 1940s- 1960s development showcasing life at that time. BCLM are renowned for their attention to detail and this historic town captures this era magnificently.

We are delighted to have been a part of this project, which sees the museum create a town which includes the replica of a 1905 pub formerly in the heart of Wolverhampton, an infant welfare clinic, a building society, along with music and other stores.

BCLM also benefited from a new visitor centre and upgrades to their street lighting.

As part of the project we supplied

• Functional and emergency Lighting
• LED lighting
• CCTV
• Period lighting fixtures and fittings
• Fire cabling
• Access control
• safety control
• invertors

“This is a personal favourite of mine, lending to many childhood memories of visits to the BCLM. Our client along with the team at BCLM are committed to making sure every element is 100% authentic and sympathetic to the era and it shows.”
